Wayne DeCosta
President | CEO
Wayne started his first business at age 20 in Omaha, Nebraska. Having learned to fly while still in high school, Wayne founded and managed a charter flight company that quickly grew and evolved into a substantial airport operation offering aircraft maintenance, parts, flight training, aircraft rental, charter flights, avgas and jet fuel sales, aircraft sales, and corporate aircraft management services. After operating the aviation business for 21 years, he sold it and joined a friend in Colorado Springs who owned a commercial general contracting business. For the next several years, he immersed himself in the construction business, learning all he could about operating a professional and competent construction contracting firm. In 2004 he started Great West Construction, LLC. Earning his A-1 Unlimited Building Contractor’s License from the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, Wayne set about building a company based on experience, integrity, and reliability. These cornerstones of Great West Construction have served the company well in establishing a reputation and market presence as a general contractor known for its high-quality workmanship, and strict adherence to budgets and schedules. With a firm commitment to his faith, an unwavering trust in God, and a desire to operate and act in line with Biblical principles, he is building a business with a clear mission to give back to others and operate in complete integrity. Wayne and his wife Denise have two daughters, Jordan and Taylor. Wayne’s interests include travel, dual-sport motorcycling, college football, and spending time with friends and family.
