Steve Mayotte

Steve has a wide range of experience, having thrived in a diverse variety of fields over the past decades.  With a Bachelor’s of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida, he initially spent eight years in construction project management and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

His career took a sharp turn when he and his family felt called to move to South Africa, where he and his wife spent 11 years working at Pollsmoor Prison in Cape Town, ministering to both incarcerated youth and adults as well as correctional officers. During this time, Steve also worked at All Nations Cape Town as Director of Operations for eight years. In 2021 Steve and his wife were invited to work with Desert Waters Correctional Outreach (DWCO), which initiated their family’s return to the USA, Steve serving at the Chief Operating Officer of DWCO in Colorado for three years, building the organizational systems such that it could grow to further support the health and well-being of correctional staff throughout the United States.

Equipped with insight into operations, management experience, people skills, multicultural wisdom, and nonprofit organizational processes, Steve chose to return to the world of construction project management and get his hands back into the practicalities of building from the ground up.  He began work with Great West Construction in 2024.

Steve and his wife Daria have three boys, Ethan, Jude, and Zane.  They worship and remain actively involved at Woodmen Valley Chapel. Steve enjoys working in the yard and spending time with family, hiking, and mountain biking in Colorado’s beautiful scenery.
